Candle Care & Safety Tips
To savor the full Geneva Candles & Co. experience, approach every light as a moment of stillness — a ritual of care, intention, and connection.
Each burn is an invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and let the fragrance become a memory.
Burn with Intention
-
Always keep your candle within sight, away from flammable materials, and out of reach of children and pets.
-
Before each burn, trim your wick to ¼ inch (6 mm) for a clean, steady flame.
-
Keep the wax pool pristine — free of trimmings, matches, or debris.
-
Allow your candle to burn for no more than 4 hours at a time (2 hours for smaller vessels) to preserve its fragrance integrity.
-
When only ½ inch of wax remains, it’s time to let your candle rest — honoring both vessel and ritual.
For a Perfect Burn
-
Burn in a calm, well-ventilated space, away from drafts or vents that disturb its natural rhythm.
-
After extinguishing, gently recenter the wick while the wax is still warm to ensure an even glow next time.
-
Allow the wax to cool completely before relighting. Wipe away any residue to maintain its luster.
-
When burning multiple candles, keep them at least 8 inches apart to honor their individual heat and harmony.
-
To extinguish, use a snuffer or the candle’s lid — never blow. Allow the flame to fade in quiet elegance.
